There are 417 teachers and professors at the institute, including 5 doctors of science and professors, 61 candidates of science and associate professors. The scientific potential is 24,8 %.

There are defended 3 doctoral dissertations by professors and teachers of the institute in 2017.

On November 1, 2017 Associate Professor of the department of “Professional Education”, Candidate of Technical Sciences J.A.Hamidov defended his doctoral thesis on the theme “Technology of creation and application of modern didactic means of training at preparation of future teachers of professional education”;

On November 28, 2017 Associate Professor of the Department of “Informatics and Information Technology” O.K.Turakulov defended his doctoral thesis on the theme “Improving scientific and methodological support of training young professionals in the information educational environment”;

On November 28, 2017 head teacher of the Department of “Overland  transport systems” S.Djiyanbayev successfully defended his thesis for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy on the theme: “Working out of technology of reception of new compositions gearbox greasings on the basis of local raw materials.”

The Djizzakh Polytechnic Institute successfully has been working on innovative ideas and technologies. In projects, which founded by the Agency of Science and Technology under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan, in particular, innovative projects developed by the scientists of the Institute were presented at the 10-th Republican Exhibition “Innovative Ideas, Technologies and Projects” when was held on May 10-12 in Tashkent, in Uzexpocenter. Seven projects were represented on exhibition, where were signed contracts for amount of 47 mln. sums.

In cooperation with the Djizzakh Regional Center of Innovation and Technology, the projects of young scientists EA7-FQ-0-25290 “Improvement of soil degradation methods and improvement of its ecological and ameliorative state” (total amount of 50 million sums) and I-2014-7- 10 “Technology of obtaining lubricants with the use of secondary fat-and-oil industrial wastes” (amounting to 170 million sums) were finished.

According to the research results, the volume of implemented works amounted to 160 million sums. This year were received 9 patents and 1 author’s certificate for inventions also published 8 monographs, 2 textbooks, 12 teaching manuals, more than 100 articles in international scientific journals, over 60 articles in scientific journals on the list of SAC, and more than 80 theses were published at international conferences. The total number of published scientific publications was 1354 units.

Currently, the following projects are being implemented within the framework of the State Scientific and Technical Programs at the Institute, which are funded by the innovation ideas and technology creativity.

1. Implementation of the practical project (project manager E.A. Saliev) on the theme “Creating algorithms and software for image processing and analysis based on the theory of dim collections” for 2015-2017 (total amount of 165 million sums).
2. Realization of the fundamental project (project manager J.A. Hamidov) on the theme “Socio-psychological characteristics of the formation of attitudes among students” for 2017-2020 (total amount 170 million sums).
3. Realization of the fundamental project (project manager J. Х. Bobanazarova), a research is conducted for 2017-2020 on the theme “Theoretical basis for improving the quality and structure of services in the context of modernization of the economy (190 million sums)”.

Nowadays there are have been functioned 12 “Innovation groups” at the institute. 173 scientists work in these groups, 71 of them are professors and teachers, 28 are gifted students and 53 are specialists from industry.

In the list of scientific problems from the company includes 61 problematic issues that were solved by defenseing 2 doctoral dissertations, 14 master’s dissertations, 111 diploma theses and 163 coursework in the current year.
