Economics and Management

The department was founded on December 12, 1984 under the name “Economics and Management in Transport and Construction.”

In 1984-1994, the department was headed by: associate professor. N. Shodiev, Assoc. B. Kattakishiev, Assoc. T.K. Kayumov and Assoc. I.Tirkashev.

In 1996, the department was divided into two departments: “Management” and “Macroeconomics”. Associate Professor R.Ruzmetov led the Department of Macroeconomics and associate Professor T.E.Eshankulov was appointed head of the Department of Management.

In 2003, in accordance with the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the departments of Management and Macroeconomics were merged into the department of “Economics and Management”. In 2006, the Department of Economics and Management was named Management, in 2008 – Management in Production. At that time, the department was headed by associate professor T. EshonkulovIn accordance with the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 157 dated June 12, 2014 “On improving the organizational structure of the Jizzakh Polytechnic Institute”, a new department called “Management of transport systems” was created.

The department from 2017 to 2020 “Management” acted under its own names. The department operates from 2020 under the name ” Economy and management .”

The department employs 3 doctors and professors, 7 candidates of sciences and associate professors, 10 senior teachers, 11 assistants and laboratory assistant.

Under the leadership of the head of the department S. Abdunazarov there are: doctors and professors O.Abdullaev, J.X.Bobanazarova, N.I.Saidakhmedova; Associate professors R. Khidoyatov, B. Kattakishiev, B. A. Mukhtorov, P.Tsoi, A. M. Kuchimov, D. S. Saidahmedova; Senior lecturers Sh. G. Rasulova, Z. O. Umarova M.Y. Siddikov F. Y. Obidova Y. I. Nasriddinov, D. B. Djabborov D. F. Boyzokova, T. A. Berdiyorov, I. A. Tursunkulov , O. A. Arzikulov; assistants F. A. Aziztaeva, Z. M. Djabborova, Sh. Sh. Rasulov, D. D. Norboeva, D. T. Kamilov, U. Norboev, Sh. Salokhitdinov, D. Khushvaktov, O. Holbutaev, Y.Ortikov, I.Yuldasheva  conduct scientific, methodological, spiritual and educational work with students. Doctoral dissertations were defended at the department: O.Abdullaev, J.X.Bobanazarova, N.I.Saidakhmedova. The scientific potential of the department is 39%.

The department prepares bachelors in the direction 5230200- Management (by industry and sector) , 5230900- “Accounting and audit” in the direction of study, master’s degree in the specialty 5A230201-Management, specialization, and also teaches economic disciplines in all educational areas of the institute.

Bachelors -5230200- Management (by industry and sector), 5230900- “Accounting and audit” in the direction of study will have the opportunity to work in leadership positions in construction and production organizations, at road transport enterprises and get a Master’s degree in Economics. Bachelor of Management graduates can work in related professions such as economists and accountants.
